Welcome to Auckland Workshop – Session 1 Successfully Held!

10月30日，奥克兰北岸华人协会举办了“Welcome to Auckland”系列讲座的首场活动，得到奥克兰市议会的大力支持。

On October 30, the Auckland North Shore Chinese Association held the first session of its “Welcome to Auckland” lecture series, with strong support from the Auckland City Council.

参与者学习了毛利开场祈福词 Karakia，练习毛利问候语 “Kia ora”，了解了奥克兰等地名的毛利含义，并认识了重要的毛利人物和《怀唐伊条约》（Te Tiriti o Waitangi）的意义。

Participants learned the Māori opening blessing, Karakia, practiced the Māori greeting “Kia ora”, explored the meanings of Māori place names such as Auckland, and gained an understanding of significant Māori figures and the importance of the Treaty of Waitangi (Te Tiriti o Waitangi).
